The house is epic: We need a garden to match
This home has to be one of the best executed contemporary buildings I've ever had the pleasure to visit. The garden now needs to do it justice. The owner who works in construction, commissioned a design for their tricky northern garden. It is almost entirely shaded by a huge oak and makes up the main view from the fully glazed living area, they also wanted football space and a Wendy house/ mud kitchen for the kids and a covered dining area for the grown ups.
One side is now suggested as a formal space with a water feature, the other is a constructed longer view through small trees and planting. The 'dead' area between the two under the tress has an obscured view to tuck the Wendy house in, whilst still being visible enough to keep an eye on the children. This difficult space is now useable and actually adds to the experience of this exceptional home.
